ABSTRACT:

Flood is a yearly occasion in the region of Jalpaiguri. Practically all the authoritative blocks of the locale are pretty much flood prone. Like the regulatory blocks, practically every one of the rivers in the locale are likewise flood prone. Because of this, each river has certain flood level just as danger level to watch the flood circumstance in the region. Following the past perception of flood level crossed by the river the probability of recent development can be gotten. In this paper, the creators are attempted to demonstrate the spatial appropriation of flood potential in the locale with the assistance of probability investigation of flood occasion of individual rivers and exposure indicator score of the nearby territory. Here probability clarifies number of shot of flood in Individual River and exposure signs clarify how much the territory is presented to flooding. The mapping depends on spatial flood potential file (SFPI). Exposure of the territory and the probability of the adjoining rivers can clarify how much this region is liable to floods. In this paper, the creators attempted to set up a spatial flood potential guide for the whole area dependent on probability investigation and an exposure indicator.
