ABSTRACT:

Digital culture has changed the way we live work and do different things. Educational sector has also been equally influenced by the development in the computer technology. The use of technology has enabled teachers to organise classes in a flexible and innovative ways, in consideration with the needs of the students. The present study is an effort to study the attitude of secondary schools teachers of Kashmir towards the use of Information and Communication Technology in relation to the school types, professionalism and gender. Simple random sampling technique was employed to select 500 secondary school teachers of day and boarding schools of Ganderbal and Srinagar District. Different Statistical techniques were used to analyse the data to draw conclusions. The results of the study concluded that the most (91) of secondary school teachers had shown favourable attitude towards the use of Information and Communication Technology. It was also found that boarding and professional secondary school teachers have favourable attitude than day and non professional secondary school teachers.
