ABSTRACT:

Nickel monoxide (NiO) has a place with the 3d Transition metal oxides with a NaCl structure, with a cross section parameter of 0.4173 nm and a thickness of 6.7 gcm3. The electronic structure of Ni is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d8 4s2. Its external electrons shell has a 4s2 3d8 arrangement.
