ABSTRACT:

One recent advance indatabase management is data warehousing. Data Warehouses are an important assetfor organizations to maintain efficiency, profitability and competitiveadvantages. The basic premise of data warehouse is “to create a clearinghousein which to gather and organize critical business data. It is a store ofintegrated data obtained from various internal and external sources, whichrepresents events or facts as of a given point in time. The data collected havedegrees of value and business relevance. As data is collected, it is passedthrough a 'conveyor belt', call the Data Life Cycle Management.
