An unregulated growth of abnormal cells leads in a cancer, a mass of cells known as cancers. Cancer prevention and treatment benefit greatly from the use of herbs. We hope this short overview of certain herbal medications will help to collect current knowledge on their therapeutic activities and pharmacological targets in cancer treatment and chemoprevention. Bioactive substances extracted from numerous medicinal and other therapeutic plants are discussed in this study. Research on anti-cancer herbal medicines that have been published too late is highlighted in this paper. The study also looked at the medicinal and anticancer properties of opuntia elatior and mornida citrifolia, as well as the significance of plants as therapeutic and anticancer agents.
