ABSTRACT:

Corporate governance usually leads to enhancing the standard of living in the cooperative sector. The regulatory behaviors relate to shifts, trends, and operations of the cooperative sector. Corporate governance is not only required in evolving, growing, and transitioning economies to address ownership and control issues but also to maintain accountability in achieving the desired objective of corporate governance for the cooperative sector. Corporate governance is not properly followed in the cooperative sector because of a lack of resources, weak control of the board of directors, corrupt practices, loss of knowledge, and accountability. Within the cooperative sector, the distinct essence of the cooperatives, related developments, and aspects of corporate governance are discussed. And that ensures the three classes have distinct privileges and duties, representatives, administrators, and supervisors.
