A Critical Study on Non – Linear Optimization |
MathematicalOptimization is the selection of a best element with regard to somecriteria from some set of available alternatives. In the simplest case,an optimization problem consists of maximizingor minimizing a real function by systematicallychoosing input values from within an allowed setand computing the value of the function. The generalizationof optimization theory and techniques to other formulations comprises a largearea of applied mathematics. More generally, optimization includes finding "best available" values of someobjective function given a defined domain or a set of constraints, includinga variety of different types of objective functions and different types ofdomains.
