ABSTRACT:

A live feed effect was studied on the survival growth of Catla catla fry with three separate live feeds cyclopoids (Thermocyclops decipiens), cladocerans (Moina micrura) mixed feeds (cyclopoids cladocerans). Industrial feed was used for monitoring (Sunder's feed). Feeding tests were conducted in 100 L tanks for 40 days. Fish fried fed with a combined diet is significantly better than those fed with other food types (P < 0,001) (54,80 ± 2,43 percent). Fish fry fed Cyclopoid has considerably increased (P<0.001) more than those fed with other food forms (26.03 ± 1.88 mm, weight 61.07 ± 3.53 mg). Higher protein, carbohydrate lipid contents were seen in biochemical studies in Catla fry, fed Cyclopoid diet.
