ABSTRACT:

ICT has changed the whole system of information storing, organizing, processing, and its dissemination. The Library professional play an important role with great challenges in the knowledge dissemination process and library management. by facing the major transformational changes due to the advancements of information and communication technologies. Librarians play a new role in gathering, organizing and coordinating access to the best available information sources for the organization as a whole. The new environment and application of new technologies have given the librarian a new dynamic role to play and serve the new information and knowledge based society in better ways than before. In this digital era, librarians must be able to work with digital technique and should have competency as they have worked with web resources and of technology-based information services.
