ABSTRACT:

The plays of Mahesh Dattani developed as 'fresh debut' in the space of Indian English dramatization in the most recent decade of the twentieth century. His plays manage contemporary issues. They are plays of today at times as genuine as to cause discussion, and yet they are plays which exemplify huge numbers of the exemplary worries of world dramatization. Tara, Seven Steps around the Fire, is picked to consider the contemporary qualities in these plays.
