An investigation has been carried out for the evaluation of heavy metals contamination in groundwater of surrounding areas of Jaipur city. Various obtained values were compared with standard standards prescribed by ISI (Indian Standard Items) and WHO (World Health Organization). Observations obtained exhibited that As, Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn Pb were not found in any deliberated groundwater sections whilst Cu (0.00 – 0.20 mgL) found only in sample G2 Ni (0.00 – 0.02 mgL) were below recommended values. Only Zn (0.30 – 17.45 mgL) was exceeded the ISI permissible limit for potable water in samples G2 G3. Jaipur city were found good in terms of heavy metals contaminations and to be used as potable water except samples G2 and G3.
