ABSTRACT:

Panchayats have been the foundation of grassroot majority rules system in the Indian towns since its start. Gandhi had suitably supported the panchayati raj and his fantasy got deciphered with the passage of the Constitution (73rdAmendment) Act, 1992 (or just the Panchayati Raj Act), which presented the three-level Panchayati Raj framework to guarantee individuals' participation in rural reconstruction as a rule and that of women specifically. It came into power with impact from April 24, 1993. The present examination Participation of Women in Panchayati Raj Institutions directed on the sample of 50 women respondents from village Anwali District Sonipat, Haryana, India.
