The Direct Application of Standard Ranking Techniques to Retrieveindividual Elements from a Collection of Xml Documents Often Produces a Resultset In Which the Top Ranks Are Dominated By a Large Number of Elements Takenfrom a Small Number of Highly Relevant Documents.
