Majority of the Applications Involving Electroniccircuitry Such As Those Used In Automotive Applications and Battery Chargersrequire a Regulated Dc Supply. Since Ac Supplies Are More Commonly Available, Asuitable Ac-Dc Converter Becomes Mandatory For Such Applications. These Ac-Dcconverters Involve a Number of Non-Linear Devices Which Reduce the System Powerfactor and Introduce Harmonics In the Power System Leading to Adverse Effects.Hence It Is Essential to Use a Suitable Power Factor Correction Technique Tocondition the Supply Current. This Paper Presents a Comparative Analysis Ofthree Such Active Power Factor Correction Topologies. Simulation Studies Havebeen Carried Out Using Matlab/Simulink. the Flyback Converter Type Single-Stage Converter and Ahalf Wave Rectifier With Time-Multiplexing Control (Tmc) For Power Factorcorrection Is Proposed. It Has the Advantage of Better Magnetic Coreutilization and Better Performance For High Power Applications. the Majorportion of the Input Is Transferred to the Load Through Ac-Dc Conversion. Andthe Part of the Input Power Is Delivered to the Auxiliary Output Through Theflyback Conversion and Stored In the Capacitor. the Voltage Ripple of the Mainoutput Can Also Be Reduced. With Tmc the Power Processes Can Be Achieved Bysingle Transformer to Reduce the Cost and the Size of the Converter. Thesimulation Result of the Proposed Converter Presents, Simplicity, High Powerfactor With Low Cost and Size. a New Parallel-Connected Power Flow Tech ...
