ABSTRACT:

This paper examinations the relations between philosophy of information (PI), library and information science (LIS) and social epistemology (SE). In the . rst area, it is contended that there is a regular connection between theory and LIS however that SE can't furnish an agreeable establishment for LIS. SE might as well rather be perceived as imparting with LIS a shared belief, acted for by the investigation of qualified data, to be researched by another train, PI.
