Comparison of Coordinative Abilities Between Tennis and Badminton Players |

ABSTRACT:

Thestudy was conducted to compare the coordinative abilities between tennis andbadminton players. The selected coordinative abilities were OrientationAbilities, Differentiation Abilities, Reaction Abilities and Rhythm Abilities.Twenty tennis and twenty badminton male players of inter university level inthe age group of 18 to 26 were selected as subjects of the study. The selectedcoordinative abilities tests for the data collection were Numbered MedicineBall Run Test, Backward Medicine Ball Throw Test, Ball Reaction Exercise Testand Sprint at Given Rhythm Test. T-test was employed to find out the significancedifference between tennis and badminton players in the four coordinativeabilities. No significant difference was found in the coordinative abilities oftennis and badminton players
